Methanol (CH3OH) is a clear, colourless liquid alcohol that is the simplest alcohol molecule. It is a commodity product that is used as a chemical precursor, a component of deicing fluids, pressure testing fluids, and is used to suppress the formation of hydrates in natural gas production and transmission.
