CFR Chemicals Inc. needs a Field Service Tech immediately in the Drayton Valley / Central Alberta area. The primary role will involve managing and servicing a remote sales territory that targets growth through the development of new accounts, while growing relationships with existing customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS AND SPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS:

The Field Service Tech will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Developing strong relationships with existing and new customers including plant and facility personnel;
• Liaising with all levels of customer organizations to understand needs and opportunities, and sharing this information with supervisors;
• Manage inventory levels at remote sites within your territory and ensure their profitability;
• On call 24/7, troubleshooting on the phone and at the location, including emergency orders and regular orders- sometimes on weekends/evenings.
• Technical reporting- Compose each month’s inventory, determine specific chemical rates, tank fills, and record products on charts for the customer while reporting any issues or potential issues. Review glycol reports. Review wax reports. Make recommendations in conjunction with CFR lab.
• Technical support- Review all customer reports, recommend and make appropriate changes. Field requirements and Lab requirements vary for every LSD.
• CSR work- make sure all tickets are accounted for on a weekly basis and locate any missing tickets for billing. Review all tickets for the month, identify all missing tickets with CSR’s and discuss strategy for proper reconciliation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

As an ideal candidate, your background will include:
• two years’ experience in progressive sales, marketing and/or business development within the chemical and/or oil and gas industry;
• Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience in Oil and Gas Services, Engineering or Chemistry;
• Experience in providing sales, technical and customer services in the delivery of process or specialty chemicals;
• strong working knowledge of the chemical and oil and gas sector;
